Biographical Note: 

Sheri completed her undergraduate studies at Columbia University, Columbia College, where she studied architecture and cultural anthropology and fell in love with the Core Curriculum. After working for Robert A. M. Stern Architects for a number of years, she switched professions, moving to magazine publishing. She memorized Words into Type, The Associated Press Stylebook, and The Chicago Manual of Style at Black Enterprise and at Ms., where she was managing editor. Sheri spends a lot of time thinking about how the absence or presence of critical race theory impacts identity, immigration, and social mobility in cross-national comparisons and about efforts by contemporary thinkers to valorize Thomas Carlyle
