Aviva is passionate about social justice and inequality studies and actively works to enrich her studies with her activism and her activism with her studies. Her current research interests revolve around gender and sexuality and the myriad forces that constitute our intimate understandings of ourselves and each other. Her current work uses qualitative methodology to explore underground queer performance spaces and what they can tell us about "embodied deviance" and the construction, performance, and experience of gender and sexuality. In her free time Aviva enjoys going to museums and botanical gardens, petting animals, and discussing critical theory. Her curriculum vitae and other information can be found at www.avivafrank.com.
