Bio
Jingkun is an MA student in Sociology at Columbia University. She earned her BA degree in Sociology at Bard College, where she developed her undergraduate thesis on the fertility decisions of Chinese urban married women. For her MA thesis she is investigating the decision-making process on emigration of overseas Chinese students during the Covid era. Having experienced Covid control in both China and the US, she is generally interested in how individuals navigate through global crisis under structural constraints with varying gender, class, race/ethnicity, and cultural backgrounds.
