Bio
Lisa Lucile Owens received her Ph.D. in sociology from Columbia in 2020 and her J.D. from Boston College in 2012. As a scholar of inequality, her research explores housing, technology, gender, race, class, religion, law, and the American South. She is currently writing a book on housing inequality and the dismantling of the social safety net (under peer review). Her work has also been published or is forthcoming in Sociological Methodology, Critical Sociology, the Fordham Urban Law Review, the Alabama Civil Rights and Civil Liberties Law Review, and the Boston Review.
