Meesh Fradkin is a Master's Student in the Department of Sociology. She graduated from Rutgers University in 2018 as an Honors Scholar with a B.A. in Women’s and Gender Studies and Sociology. Her undergraduate research examined the relationships that former Soviet musicians have with music following the dissolution of the Soviet Union and their emigration or immigration to the United States. Meesh’s research looks to questions of sound, temporality, global structures, otherness and representation, performance and politics.
