Bio

Sam Donahue is a PhD student and Paul F. Lazarsfeld Fellow in the Department of Sociology. His primary research interests include the criminal legal system, surveillance, and race. Currently Sam is working on a project that examines how exogenous incidents influence racial classification and the maintenance of racial categories. Before joining Columbia, Sam worked at the Center for Policing Equity as the research manager.
