Bio
Siyu Hua is a Master’s student in the Department of Sociology. She is from Yunnan, China. Prior to Columbia University, Siyu obtained her Bachelor's degree with Distinction from Simon Fraser University, majoring in Communication. Her research focuses on Science and Technology Studies, Science Communication, Rhetoric Studies, and Global Digital Regulation. Siyu particularly enjoys investigating power dynamics behind the process of constructing scientific knowledge, and agenda-setting in science communication.
