Bio

Flavien Ganter is a Ph.D. student and Paul F. Lazarsfeld Fellow in the Department of Sociology at Columbia University. His research interests include race and migration, spatial inequality, discrimination, and institutions shaping stratification—which he studies using a broad range of quantitative methods.

Flavien graduated in 2018 from the École normale supérieure Paris-Saclay and ENSAE with a M.A. in Sociology and a M.Sc. in Econometrics and Statistics. He also holds a B.A in Sociology from Paris-Sorbonne University (2015) and a B.Sc. in Economics from Panthéon-Sorbonne University (2015).
