Bio

Monika Yadav is a PhD student and Paul F. Lazarsfeld Fellow in the Department of Sociology. Her primary fields of inquiry are political sociology, sociology of law, inequality, social movements with a special focus on labor movement and unions. Her prior research includes studying the linkages between formal and informal economy, social welfare schemes in India, and spillover effect of labor unions on nonunion labor in the US.

Monika graduated in 2019 from University of Notre Dame with a MA in sociology. She also holds a masters in sociology from University of Delhi, India and a degree in engineering from India.
