David Stark, Arthur Lehman Professor of Sociology and International Affairs, was honored with presenting the Niklas Luhmann Lecture at the University of Bielefeld on January 24th. The title of the lecture was "This is Not a Test! Preparedness, Innovation, and Uncertainty." Professor Stark currently holds the 2023/2024 Niklas Luhmann Visiting Professorship of the Faculty of Sociology. As part of this visiting professorship, Professor Stark is also holding a PhD seminar on "Algorithmic Management and New Class Conflicts."
