Jack LaViolette Receives Outstanding Paper Award at NLP Conference in Singapore

PhD Student Jack LaViolette and co-author Mikael Brunila (McGill) received the Outstanding Paper Award in Computational Social Science at the 2023 Conference on Empirical Methods in Natural Language Processing for their paper "Toward a Critical Toponymy Framework for Named Entity Recognition: A Case Study of Airbnb in New York City".
