  • Winston is the administrative coordinator in the Sociology department.

  • Veronica Graduated from Kean University. She studied Accounting with a specialization in business audit. She was on the Dean's list for 3 consecutive years. She worked in banking for 7 years and 5 years in the real estate industry. She has been working at Columbia University for 5 years, starting as a financial assistant and now as Business Manager. She is originally from Brooklyn NY, but raised in Bogotá Colombia. Veronica lives in central Jersey with her husband and two children, and her dog Luna, a French bulldog. She enjoys reading and her favorite author is Gabriel García Márquez, and her favorite book is Chronicle of a Death Foretold. She also enjoys documentary programs, since her childhood dream was to be an archaeologist.

  • Teresa is the Director of Academic Administration and Finance in the Department of Sociology and the Asian American Initiative (AAI). Her main roles include managing internal and external projects and grants, overseeing faculty affairs, advising students, and directing academic programming, curricular development and financial operations. Prior to joining the Department of Sociology, Teresa was Assistant Director in the Center for the Study of Ethnicity and Race—CSER, where she co-created the Summer Program in Indigenous Studies.  At CSER, Teresa also acted as Associate Curator for Gallery at the Center.  Prior to that, she was senior program coordinator in the Institute of Latin American Studies and the Center for Brazilian Studies at Columbia, where she coordinated the Nahuatl Program and the expansion of the native language consortium between Columbia, Yale and NYU, as well as the establishment of the O’Gorman Program for Mexican Scholars. She also worked as a research associate in the Economics Program at the Council on Foreign Relations. Teresa received her B.A. from NYU and her M.A. in Economics from the New School of Social Research. 

  • Jordan is the Financial Coordinator for the Department of Sociology. His main role includes assisting the Director of Academic Administration and Finance as well as the Business Officer with day-to-day accounting matters. Prior to joining the Department of Sociology, Jordan worked 9 years as a accounts payable specialist for a real estate non-for-profit organization aiming to provide affordable housing for residents in the tri-state area. Jordan has experience in accounting, purchasing and auditing systems, as well as project management and customer support. 

  • Emily graduated from Barnard College in 2020 where she studied Psychology with a focus on child care.

    Since graduating, she has worked in Financial Aid Services and Career Services (Beyond Barnard) at Barnard College, utilizing a keen attention to detail and her creative strengths to streamline administrative processes.

    Originally from NJ, Emily lives in Brooklyn now with fellow Barnard Alums. She enjoys film and TV, trivia, and creating digital art in her free time.
