Biographical Note
Anzhi Chen is a PhD student in the Department of Sociology and Provost Doctoral Fellow at Columbia University. His research interests lie in the intersection of computational social science and urban sociology, particularly on (1) developing multimodal methods that bring together text, images, and geodata to analyze urban transformations, and (2) investigating the ways urban space, technology, and culture intersect to produce new forms of inequality. He worked as a data analyst before joining Columbia University.
