Biographical Note
Before becoming a master’s student in Sociology at Columbia University, they earned Bachelor of Arts degrees in Sociology (Summa Cum Laude) and Communication (Cum Laude) from the University of Colorado Denver, along with a JADE (Justice, Allyship, Diversity & Equity) Certificate, and a Bachelor of Arts degree in Communication from China Agricultural University.
Their previous research used mixed methods to explore the perceptions and preferences of students at a university in the Midwest of the United States regarding in-person, online, and remote learning modes in the post-COVID era, as well as the associations between these perceptions and preferences and students’ demographic characteristics.
They are now conducting research seeking to understand the use of gender pronouns among different gender identity groups (cisgender/trans woman, cisgender/transgender man, non-binary) and the sociological reasons underlying these practices.
