Professor Adam Reich receives 2026 Award for Excellence and Commitment to Teaching from Division of Social Science

January 20, 2026

The Division of Social Science has selected Professor Adam Reich to receive the 2026 Award for Excellence and Commitment to Teaching. Adam shares the award with three other professors from social science departments.

These prizes, now in their third year, are awarded solely on the basis of teaching excellence. The selection is made jointly by all six social science department chairs and the dean of social science, using information and measures observed by chairs (and DUSs, DGSs, etc.), including student evaluations. All full-time instructors in the division are eligible. You can find additional information about the award here

This award comes on the heels of the 2025 GS Honor Society Faculty Award, which Adam received only a few months ago. We're thrilled and honored to have such a fantastic teacher in our department!

Congratulations, Adam!
