Biographical Note

Yu Guo is an M.A. student in Sociology at Columbia University. She received her B.A. in Sociology with a minor in Applied Psychology from the University of California, Santa Barbara. Her previous research examined how university housing design can create accessibility barriers for people with disabilities, the relationship between partner well-being and health, and how race and gender shape patterns of intimacy and partner choice in Asian American communities. She has also explored questions of sociality, particularly how people form relationships, understand intimacy, and navigate everyday interactions.
